📅
✍️By ZRIntel Editorial Team📍Talladega, AlabamaThe 2025 United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) Multigun Nationals concluded yesterday at the world-class CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park in Alabama. Over 400 of the nation's best action shooters competed over three intense days, navigating twelve complex stages that tested their proficiency with rifle, pistol, and shotgun. The match director, renowned for creative and challenging course design, incorporated long-range rifle targets out to 500 yards, intricate shotgun arrays with slugs and buckshot, and fast-paced pistol sections requiring precision and speed. The grueling Alabama summer heat and humidity added another layer of difficulty, rewarding competitors who prioritized physical conditioning and hydration strategies. In the highly competitive Tactical Ops division, a new champion emerged after a tight race that came down to the final stage, showcasing a masterful blend of speed and accuracy. The Open division saw a dominant performance by a returning champion, whose customized firearms and optics setup demonstrated the cutting edge of competition hardware. Noteworthy trends on the firing line included the increased prevalence of low-power variable optics (LPVOs) on rifles across nearly all divisions and the growing popularity of pistol-caliber carbines (PCCs) in their own dedicated category. The event ran smoothly thanks to the diligent work of the range officer corps and support staff.
