On August 11, an Arizona firearms training center announced the adoption of a new modular rifle platform for its law enforcement and civilian training programs. The platform allows instructors to quickly switch between calibers and barrel lengths, enabling multiple training scenarios with a single serialized lower receiver. Range officials say the move will significantly reduce equipment costs and maintenance downtime, while also allowing students to experience a variety of ballistic profiles without the expense of owning multiple rifles.
