Albuquerque Police say the masked man entered the restaurant shortly after 9:00 p.m., pointed a pistol at staff, and demanded money from the register. A patron seated near the counter drew his concealed handgun and ordered the robber to drop his weapon. The suspect reportedly froze, then dropped the gun and ran. Police later recovered the weapon and arrested the man several blocks away. Investigators confirmed the customer had a valid concealed carry permit and acted within the states self-defense laws. No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported.
