The suspect fled the store but collapsed a short distance away, where officers responding to the 911 call took him into custody without further incident. Police recovered both the suspects firearm and stolen cash at the scene. Witnesses praised the store owners composure and decisive action, crediting him with preventing further harm. He knew exactly what to do and stayed calm under pressure, said one customer who was present during the incident. The suspect, whose identity has not yet been released, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and will face multiple charges, including armed robbery and aggravated assault. Investigators have confirmed the store owner acted within the bounds of Pennsylvania self-defense laws, and no charges are expected against him.
