Prior to launching the academy, she ran her own accounting firm for over twenty years, earning accolades such as Woman of the Year (2024), Make Lemonade Queen (2024), and Woman on the Move (2025). In 2025, she received both an Honorary Doctorate in Humanitarianism and the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Awardtestaments to her leadership and impact in the community. At Her Defense offers a diverse curriculum tailored to varied needs. From women-only Intro to Pistol and Defensive Shooting Fundamentals to co-ed concealed-carry classes (License to Carry Plus), and even youth safety courses, there's an access point for nearly every comfort and experience level.
