📅
✍️By ZRIntel Editorial Team📍United StatesBeretta USA has expanded its popular 80X Cheetah lineup with the introduction of the 80X Cheetah Tactical Desert, a modernized variant designed to meet the demands of todays concealed carry and home-defense shooters. This new model takes the proven .380 ACP platform and updates it with a flat dark earth finish, a factory-threaded barrel, and an optic-ready slide, giving shooters a pistol that is ready for suppressor use and red-dot optics straight out of the box. These updates reflect Berettas continuing strategy of refreshing its legacy designs with contemporary ergonomics and features while maintaining the core characteristics that made the original Cheetah line so well regarded. At the heart of the new model is a 1/2x28 threaded barrel that allows users to attach common suppressors or compensators without the need for aftermarket modifications. The ability to run suppressed is particularly appealing for shooters interested in reducing recoil and noise, whether in a home-defense context or during range training. Complementing the barrel is an optic-ready slide that accepts mini red-dot sights, a feature increasingly viewed as standard for serious concealed-carry and competition pistols. The slide includes interchangeable sights, giving owners the ability to fine-tune their sight picture when pairing iron sights with an optic. The 80X Cheetah Tactical Desert also features Berettas X-treme S trigger system, a fully adjustable trigger with a skeletonized hammer designed to deliver a lighter, crisper break and a shorter reset for faster follow-up shots. Combined with the Vertec-style grip frame and flat dark earth grip panels, the pistol is built for comfort and controllability, especially for shooters with smaller hands. Ambidextrous and user-friendly controls include a frame-mounted safety with decocker function, a reversible magazine release, and a two-slot Picatinny rail molded into the frame for attaching weapon lights or lasers. Logan Killam, Senior Pistol Product Manager at Beretta USA, highlighted that the Tactical Desert model was built in direct response to customer feedback. Shooters have been requesting a factory-configured model that includes suppressor-ready features and optic compatibility without sacrificing the ergonomics and style that made the Cheetah a popular choice. By adding the flat dark earth finish, Beretta is also aligning the pistols appearance with current tactical trends, making it attractive for both concealed carriers and enthusiasts who want a stylish range companion. In terms of capacity and size, the pistol ships with two 15-round magazines, a significant capacity for a .380 ACP platform. This capacity, paired with the soft-shooting nature of the caliber, makes the gun a solid choice for those looking for controllable rapid fire and less felt recoil than comparable 9mm compacts. At an MSRP of $749, the 80X Cheetah Tactical Desert is positioned in the premium segment but offers shooters a feature-complete package that would otherwise require additional aftermarket work. Beretta frames this release as part of its ongoing commitment to serving both legacy fans of the Cheetah line and the new generation of shooters who expect factory support for optics, suppressors, and modern accessories. The company continues to manufacture in Gallatin, Tennessee, underscoring its commitment to the U.S. market and domestic production. The Tactical Desert model is available now through Beretta dealers nationwide.
