Concealed Carry Corner: My Top 5 Carry Guns of 2025
📅
✍️By ZRIntel Editorial Team📍United StatesWelcome back to another edition of Concealed Carry Corner. Last week, we talked about fixed blades versus folding knives and whether they are a good idea to carry as a secondary weapon. If you happened to miss that article, be sure to click the link here to check it out. This week, I want to take a look back and reflect on some of the most carried guns of 2025 for me personally. I tend to keep track like an absolute crazy person, and in order of days carried, let's check out my top 5 carry guns of 2025.
One of the biggest surprises of 2024 was how easy it was to carry the 340 PD from Smith & Wesson. My official TFB review of the 340 PD went live back in 2024 and instead of sending the gun back, I decided to purchase this straight from Smith & Wesson. In the past, I have talked really negatively about small revolvers, but if you're heading to the store or just looking to be armed without going through a lot to prepare with a belt and proper clothing, this gun is amazing for those quick trips to the gas station for extra-long slim jims. Combine the ultra-light frame with the ability to spit out full-power .357 Magnum, and you have one of the hardest-hitting pocket revolvers on the market. This thing is a spitfire with full-power .357 Magnum loads, but I absolutely love it! I carried this 340 PD 37 times this year, making it number 5 on my list.
What can I say about the Glock 19 that hasn't already been said before? Often referred to as the perfect carry gun, any generation of the Glock 19 is a great option with a full backing of aftermarket support. The Glock 19 is about as customizable as it gets, and you can find any attachment or aftermarket part possible to make it your own. The newest generation of Glocks, the 6th gen, offers more stippling and features, making it the evolution of one of the best carry guns around. These guns work under any circumstance, making them a fantastic choice for daily carry. I carried my trusty Gen 4 Glock 19 in FDE with a Jagerwerks Slide cut and a Trijicon RMR on top for roughly 44 days this year.
The new Wilson Combat P365 2.0 flew under the radar for many. This model comes with a Radian Ramjet and a bronze barrel straight from the factory, along with their slide and frame setup. Other upgrades include a grip module as well as internal springs and an enhanced trigger. I typically don't go for flashy carry guns like this, but I've loved shooting and carrying it. The pinky extension on the standard frame gives me a comfortable grip while being easy to conceal with just a T-shirt and shorts. This year, I carried the Wilson Combat P365 2.0 for a total of 56 days, thoroughly enjoying the experience.
Landing in the number 2 spot is the P226X Carry, the shorter version of my favorite handgun. Although it carries like my P229 Legion, it offers the benefits of a full-size gun at the range while being lighter. It's a fantastic gun that feels genuinely balanced for daily carry. With a Romeo X red dot and an upgraded trigger from the factory, I ended up carrying the P226X Carry for 102 days this year.
And now to the number one spot, which is no surprise — the Glock 48. With Shield Arms 15-round magazines, it combines size and capacity exceptionally well. The gun allows for optics with its MOS cut, and I personally love the Trijicon RMRcc. The thin profile, along with the capacity of something larger, makes it comfortable and easy to carry. I carried my Glock 48 for a total of 126 days this year.
Overall, I tracked the guns I carried the most over the year and what led me to carry each one. You may have different favorites, and I would love to hear what you carry and why in the comments below. I appreciate you making it this far; if you have questions about carrying guns, feel free to reach out on Instagram @fridgeoperator. ShoQ's Take: The evolving preferences in concealed carry options highlight an ongoing trend of practicality blended with performance. Early reports suggest that shooters are increasingly focused on lightweight firearms that do not compromise on caliber or reliability. As we move further into 2025, it'll be interesting to observe how these trends translate into new product offerings and how the firearms community adapts to shifting demands for carrying comfortably yet effectively. Understanding these insights will be vital for enthusiasts and those considering a CCW lifestyle.
