📅
✍️By ZRIntel Editorial Team📍Detroit, MichiganDetroit police announced on August 11 the results of a series of raids targeting illegal ghost gun manufacturing operations within the city. Ghost gunsprivately made firearms without serial numbershave been a growing concern for law enforcement due to their untraceable nature and ease of assembly from mail-order kits. During the enforcement action, officers recovered more than a dozen completed ghost guns, numerous unfinished frames, and tools used for manufacturing. Several individuals were arrested, including two suspects believed to be selling the weapons to local gangs. Investigators say ballistic testing will determine whether the seized guns are connected to recent shootings in the city. Authorities underscored that Michigan law now requires serialization and background checks for such firearms, and that violators face felony charges. Police are also coordinating with federal agencies to address the interstate shipment of components.
