Starting next month, certified instructors will teach safe storage, basic marksmanship, and crisisresponse tactics at community centers across the city. Grant administrator Malik Thompson emphasized the programs goal: Were empowering residents with practical skills to reduce accidental shootings and improve neighborhood safety. Enrollment opens August1 on the City of Detroit website.
