MERIDEN - In a recent bust by local police, a 44-year-old man named Toby Brown was arrested in connection with the discovery of multiple illegal firearms and over 200 rounds of ammunition hidden in a storage unit he rented in Meriden, Connecticut. The weapons were accompanied by an extensive cache of ammunition, with varying calibers exceeding 200 rounds. The bin also contained several firearm accessories, including a controversial "Glock switch," a device meant to modify handguns into fully automatic weapons. The police investigation established Brown as the owner of these items, leading to his arrest. He was charged with a series of serious offenses: five counts of criminal possession of a firearm, one count of possessing a rate of fire enhancement device, alteration of a firearms serial number, illegal transfer of a firearm, and criminal possession of ammunition. Following his arrest, Brown was released on a $350,000 bond and is scheduled for arraignment at the state Superior Court in Meriden on November 18.
