✍️By ZRIntel Editorial Team📍Geneseo, IllinoisSpringfield Armory recently launched the Echelon 4.0C Comp 9mm, a compact and integrally compensated variant of their popular 4.0C pistol. Engineered for everyday carry, the Echelon 4.0C Comp enhances control and performance with its discreet, single-port compensator that effectively reduces muzzle rise during firing. This feature is crucial for ensuring faster and more accurate follow-up shots, making it a suitable option for both defensive and competitive use. The integral compensator on the 4.0C Comp is designed with a single port on the top of the hammer-forged slide and barrel. By redirecting gas upwards, it minimizes the recoil and helps maintain a steady sight picture. The front sight is placed just behind the compensator to ensure an uninterrupted sight line, even when the compensator is engaged. One of the standout features of the Echelon 4.0C Comp is the innovative Variable Interface System. This system employs self-locking pins that ensure a consistent and reliable point of aim/point of impact. The system allows users to mount a variety of popular optics directly onto the slide, with no need for additional adapter plates. The Echelons optics-ready slide makes it compatible with a wide range of red-dot sights, providing versatility for users who prefer to use optics for precision shooting. The pistol is built on a fully ambidextrous Central Operating Group that features a serialized stainless steel chassis. This design makes it possible to quickly switch between different grip modules to suit individual preferences, while the small grip module is provided as the standard option. Three interchangeable backstrapssmall, medium, and largeensure a custom fit for all hand sizes, making the pistol adaptable for a wide range of users. In addition to its modularity, the Echelon 4.0C Comp also comes with U-Dot sights, including a U-notch rear sight and a tritium/luminescent front dot sight for better visibility in low-light conditions. The sights complement the pistols performance-enhancing features, ensuring that users can acquire their targets quickly and accurately, whether at the range or in a self-defense scenario. The pistol also comes with two magazinesone flush-fit, 15-round magazine, and an extended, 18-round versionboth coated in a durable, wear-resistant blacked-out finish. For areas with restricted magazine capacities, Springfield Armory offers the 4.0C Comp in both 10- and 15-round options. The Echelon 4.0C Comp is offered at an MSRP of $749, making it an attractive option for those seeking a high-performance pistol at an affordable price point. Springfield Armorys Echelon series, already known for its precision and innovation, takes a significant leap with the inclusion of the compensator, making the 4.0C Comp an even more formidable contender in the concealed carry market.
