Houston Police Department (HPD) has identified the suspect who allegedly fired at officers on August 6, 2025. Officers were attempting to execute a warrant when the man opened fire. No officers were injured in the exchange. The suspect, whose name has now been publicly released, is facing multiple charges including attempted capital murder of a peace officer. HPD reports that the individual has a history of violent offenses and is now in custody following a tactical response.
