AUSTIN, Texas The Texas 3-Gun Championship concluded Sunday with strong performances across all divisions, but it was the junior shooters who drew the most attention. Competing alongside seasoned veterans, these young marksmen and markswomen tackled complex stages requiring rifle, shotgun, and pistol transitions under tight time limits. Event director Laura Mendoza noted that junior participation is on the rise. These kids arent just fast theyre disciplined and safe, and thats exactly what this sport needs for the future, she said. Winners in the junior divisions included standout performances from Emma Lawson and Kyle Harper, both of whom secured top-10 overall finishes in select stages. The event also emphasized safety and sportsmanship, with range officers ensuring each competitor adhered to strict procedural rules.
