In a remarkable display of skill and teamwork, Lake Land Colleges Clay Target Shooting team has earned the title of National Trap Shooting Champion Runner-Up Team at the prestigious USA College Clay Target Nationals. This competitive event, which took place recently, saw 244 athletes from 25 colleges and universities across the nation competing to showcase their abilities in one of the fastest-growing sports at the collegiate level. The Lake Land College team, while placing second, was just behind Lindenwood University, highlighting the high level of competition they faced. This achievement is particularly significant as it marks only the third year since Lake Land College began offering the sport. Head Coach Josh Fulk expressed immense pride in the team's performance, indicating that they have quickly proven their competitiveness against more established programs. I am very proud of the way we closed out another fantastic season for our Clay Target team, said Fulk. Already, weve proven we belong alongside some of the most accomplished programs in the country. Im proud of the way our athletes performed and am looking forward to how this program continues to grow each year. Collin Hewing, a standout on the team, also did exceptionally well, earning a second-place finish in the High Gun Gold Male category with an impressive score of 198 out of 200.
