✍️By ZRIntel Editorial Team📍Los Banos, CALos Banos, CA (October 20, 2025) The Los Banos Tiger Trap Team is inviting young athletes to experience the sport of trap shooting during two upcoming Youth Community Days at the Los Banos Sportsmens Association, located at 13989 Mercey Springs Road. The events will be held on Saturday, November 8, and Saturday, November 22, beginning at noon. Trap shooting is a competitive shotgun sport in which participants aim at clay targets launched from a machine at varying angles. The sport emphasizes precision, focus, safety, and sportsmanshipqualities that the Los Banos Tiger Trap Team (LBT TT) aims to instill in every new shooter. By participating in this event, young people will get a chance to learn not just the mechanics of shooting but also the discipline involved in handling firearms responsibly. The Youth Community Days are designed specifically for new athletes, providing them with a hands-on introduction to firearm safety and shooting fundamentals in a structured, supervised environment. Safety is a top priority, as each participant will have access to firearms, ammunition, and safety equipment (eye protection and ear protection) provided on-site. Participants will also receive guidance from certified instructors, who will ensure that everyone handles their equipment safely and learns the basics of marksmanship. Participation costs $10 per person (cash only), and students must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited, and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The team welcomes students ranging from fourth grade through college to join this enriching experience. The Los Banos Tiger Trap Team stands as a beacon for youth in the community, promoting not just sports but also teamwork, responsibility, and safe firearm handling through structured coaching and competition. According to organizers, events like these community days are not merely practices but gateways for students to explore the sport and cultivate lifelong skills in focus, patience, and respect for firearms. For those interested in participating, pre-registration is strongly encouraged, which can be done by contacting the team via text at (209) 752-7724 or via email. Parents and guardians are also urged to encourage their children to participate in this recreational venture, highlighting how such programs can play a crucial role in developing a future generation of responsible shooters. Moreover, engaging young people in shooting sports helps build a better understanding of safe practices and fosters respect for firearms in the broader community. In a state where firearm debates continue, initiatives like the Youth Community Days serve as essential touchpoints for educating youth on the responsible and enjoyable handling of firearms for sport. As the community gears up for these events, the positive impact of youth involvement in shooting sports is becoming increasingly clear. It not only provides an avenue for athletes to compete but also instills values that resonate beyond the range.
