A mountain-running, faith-following, voice-restoring speech pathologist, Rebecca Lewarchik discovered her true calling during a hospital rotation while studying to become a teacher. For over a decade, she has helped stroke patients regain their ability to communicate. “It is my favorite job ever,” she said. Her devotion extends beyond the hospital as she and her firefighter husband are raising three active kids while engaging in Wyoming’s outdoor lifestyle through activities like trail running and camping.
Courtney Swarb transitioned from Texas to Wyoming in 2021 due to her husband’s job. As a communications representative, she is currently utilizing Banner’s Career Pathways program to pivot into her passion for pharmacy, a field where she previously worked. “We don’t want to leave Wyoming; we love it here,” she shared. This reflects Banner’s commitment to nurturing its employees’ professional aspirations despite the challenges many face in career transitions.
Kevin Hale, a Casper native, made the shift from the oilfield to hospital security in 2018, reinforcing his commitment to community care. Outside of work, he immerses himself in Wyoming’s vast outdoors, particularly during big-game hunting season in October. He is passionate about long-range tactical shooting, which he attributes to starting with a BB gun at an early age. His family's connection to healthcare reflects a legacy of service, where caring for the community is ingrained in their values.
Tony Peterson blends speedway racing and a dedication to connecting patients with care as a referral specialist at Banner Health Clinics. Tony’s bond with cars extends back to his childhood, and even as he pursues his passion for racing, he keeps coming back to healthcare — a field he credits for its community-driven dynamics.
Caleb Haack, originally from Phoenix, pursued a career in nursing at Banner Wyoming Medical Center after initially working as a prosthetic technician. His commitment to the medical field is matched by his enthusiasm for Wyoming’s outdoor activities like fly-fishing and kayaking, providing a balanced life where work and personal passions coexist.
