ST. LOUIS, Mo. The Midwest Steel Challenge brought some of the fastest pistol and rimfire shooters in the region to the Gateway City this weekend, delivering blistering times and razor-thin margins across divisions. Competitors faced the standard eight Steel Challenge stages, where speed and accuracy had to be perfectly balanced. Veteran shooter Lisa Grant dominated the Rimfire Pistol Open category, breaking two personal records and posting one of the fastest overall times of the day. In the Centerfire Pistol Division, Tyler Brennan edged out his closest rival by less than a second, thanks to flawless runs on Smoke & Hope and Five to Go. Match organizers noted a significant increase in first-time competitors, many of whom were drawn by the events reputation for being both competitive and highly accessible to new shooters.
