✍️By ZRIntel Editorial Team📍Carson City, NVCARSON CITY, Nev. A coordinated law enforcement sweep across Nevada has resulted in the seizure of more than 40 illegal short-barreled rifles (SBRs) and several unregistered suppressors. The Nevada Department of Public Safety (NDPS) announced that the week-long operation involved local police, sheriffs offices, and federal partners. Authorities say the SBRs were discovered during warrant services, traffic stops, and undercover purchases. Many had been modified from standard rifles in home workshops without the required federal registration under the National Firearms Act (NFA). Officials report that several of the seized weapons were linked to ongoing criminal investigations involving narcotics distribution and gang activity. In addition to the weapons, thousands of rounds of ammunition and other contraband were recovered. The NDPS emphasized that possession of an unregistered SBR or suppressor carries severe penalties, including potential prison sentences and significant fines.
