The month-long investigation culminated in several arrests and the seizure of 37 ghost guns, dozens of high-capacity magazines, and thousands of rounds of ammunition. Officials say the suspects were selling firearm kits online and assembling weapons without serial numbers, bypassing state and federal background checks. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) assisted in tracing parts suppliers, some of whom are now under investigation. New Jersey law strictly prohibits the possession or distribution of ghost guns.
