Olight has introduced the PL X, a weapon-mounted light (WML) designed to master both close-quarters and long-range engagements. The PL X solves a perennial problem for duty users: choosing between a 'flood' light for clearing rooms or a 'throw' light for identifying threats at 100+ yards. The PL X utilizes a dual-emitter system that can instantly toggle between a wide 1,200-lumen floodlight and a focused 22,500-candela spotlight that reaches up to 300 meters.
The light is constructed entirely of hard-anodized aluminum and features a newly engineered ratcheting rail mount for a rock-solid lock on Picatinny or Glock rails. Charging is handled via a USB-C port, a move away from Olight’s traditional magnetic cables, acknowledging the professional user’s need for universal charging options. The PL X is also 'holster-ready' at launch, with major manufacturers like Alien Gear and Safariland providing compatible shells.
