One Dead, One Wounded in Houston Apartment Shooting

HOUSTON, Texas A man is dead and a woman injured after a shooting inside a southwest Houston apartment early Monday morning. Officers responded to a call at the 8900 block of Bissonnet Street just before 2 a.m. and found a man in his 40s with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman in her 30s was also found with a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition. Investigators believe the incident may have stemmed from a domestic dispute, but the exact circumstances remain unclear. No arrests have been made, and police are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers. The Houston Police Departments homicide division is leading the investigation. The incident adds to a string of recent shootings in the city, many of which have involved domestic situations.
