Armed with a search warrant from the Pattaya Provincial Court, officers were able to uncover three homemade firearms. Notably, these weapons had been modified from blank-firing models, equipping them to potentially function as real guns. During the raid, police also seized a substantial cache of 42 rounds of .380 caliber ammunition, alongside over ten gun barrels and various toolssuch as drills and grinderscommonly utilized in firearms production. The operation was initiated based on intelligence reports indicating that the suspect had been supplying firearms to local youths, raising substantial concerns regarding public safety in the area. As officers delved deeper into the search, they found loaded firearms hidden beside the suspect's bed, and two additional weapons concealed above the bathroom ceiling. The suspect, identified only by the initial 'Mr. M', confessed to law enforcement that he had been producing and selling the illegal firearms online, with each weapon reportedly priced at 13,000 baht. He claimed to have acquired his gunsmithing techniques from various online sources and procured the necessary materials through internet purchases. In a troubling boast, he stated that his firearms were 100% functionaljust like real guns.
