If you have been paying attention to the threat profile of your contemporary world, then you may have seen a notice issued by the National Counterterrorism Center regarding the high likelihood of a terror attack on the homeland in the near future . The predicted model of the attack will involve multiple cities being hit simultaneously, in a style similar to what was seen in the Mumbai, India, attack of 2008, and the Paris, France, attack in 2015
. While it is good to see at least some elements of the federal government start to pay attention, it is too little, too late. This information is nothing new, and the situation grows dire
. This pending threat was brought to light most vocally by Sarah Adams, an ex-CIA targeter, when she appeared on the popular and widely viewed Shawn Ryan Show in the Fall of last year . Since then, she has been screaming from the rooftops about this imminent disaster . Along with Adams, a number of well-known ex-military public figures, such as Dave Benton and ex-Green Beret Scott Mann, have been sounding the alarm as well . Likewise, Ahmed Massoud, son of legendary Ahmed Shah Massoud, who was the leader of the Afghan resistance against the Taliban, has been warning of the terror nexus that has emerged in the wake of the American withdrawal from Afghanistan, thus fostering this new threat vector . Further, warning of this looming catastrophe goes back well before the Fall of last year. Preparedness network, Survival Dispatch, has been discussing the inevitable terrorism threat on an almost daily basis for years . And, for the past several months, Survival Dispatch has partnered with CommandEleven, an intelligence and consulting service that operates in Afghanistan and Pakistan, thus directly monitoring this developing threat, and they have been sounding the alarm, urging action at the

. Why, then, has it taken this long for anyone in the federal government to pay attention ? Presumably, for the same reasons, the government often fails to act in a timely manner regarding any crisis; typical inefficiency, or something more conspiratorial

Regardless, if you are not familiar with this looming threat profile, here is the synopsis: Per the intelligence being gathered by Adams, CommandEleven, and others, there is an estimate of literally thousands of Al Qaeda terrorists now in place within the continental United States . This has occurred due to our batched abandonment of Afghanistan, as well as our wide-open borders for four years . While Al-Qaeda seems to be an entity of the past in the minds of most Americans, they are at the helm of a further collaboration among multiple terror networks, and they remain the primary threat to the homeland . With the abrupt and poorly planned withdrawal from Afghanistan, the terror networks that once took refuge there are now back, in full force, and they are using our abandoned military bases to train . Many terrorists also took advantage of the effort to get allies out of Afghanistan, thus making their way into the United States under the guise of being American allies . Combine this with the fact that millions of unvetted people poured over the open border for four years, assuredly many from that region of the world, and here we are
. The intelligence apparatus that is monitoring this threat predicts a simultaneous attack on multiple mid-sized cities. The reason for this target selection is that mid-size cities dont have the law enforcement or medical resources to put down such an attack as quickly as larger cities do . Further, most mid-size cities have only a single Tier 1 trauma center capable of dealing with numerous victims of violence . As part of this attack plan, the specific targeting of the Tier 1 hospitals in these chosen locations is an integral part of the operation . By taking over the hospitals, Jihadi terrorists will cripple the medical response to the greater attack in the given city, thus increasing casualties, and will likely commit untold horrors at the hospital itself, all filmed and broadcast to instill a
sense of terror and panic among the population . This is the horror show that we may be in for, courtesy of the failed international and border policies of the past administration . Unfortunately, the current administration has not taken this threat seriously either, and all of these months in which this threat could have been sought out and eradicated from our midst have been squandered instead
. While it is frightening to hear, you must plan for the inevitable; you will be on your own if and when this happens. While most prefer optimism, I believe we need to be realists and plan on when, more than if . For those who prioritize their own safety and preparedness, here are my recommendations: Educate yourself on the Mumbai Terror Model, as that is what these future assaults will likely mimic . These attacks will be perpetrated by groups of multiple, rifle-armed, explosive-wearing, terrorist operatives, hitting multiple targets throughout a city, simultaneously, and this may occur over ten or more cities in the same time frame . Again, think Mumbai, but in many cities, simultaneously. Catastrophic in every sense of the word, and our first responders are not prepared for it . Also, closely follow the sources of intelligence that are keeping us updated on this threat (as listed below). Exercise heightened awareness over the next several months, especially when in crowded public places, the most likely targets for this assault . As soon as you see anything that seems off, such as suspicious and nervous acting men, suspicious vehicles, or men dressed in unusually thick clothing, etc, get out of the environment immediately . Go armed, everywhere, and avoid the liberty-free zones that disarm you. I assure you, these attackers will most likely target gun-free zones to begin with, for obvious reasons . While you will not likely take on a cell of rifle-armed, bomb-wearing, terrorists with just your carry gun, being armed can be a game-changer and give you the ability to get yourself and your loved ones off the X and
out of ground zero
. Have a family plan of what to do when this thing kicks off . Where will family members be? What is the plan? Who will pick the kids up from school? Who will be closest to home? Where will everyone meet if communications go down? etc . Have your home stocked with everything necessary, including medicines and medications, water and water purification, food, and all necessities, for at least one month, preferably longer . If a hurricane can cut people off from help for over a month, as witnessed last year in North Carolina, or in 2005 with Hurricane Katrina, imagine how a multi-city attack could cripple the infrastructure for even longer . Be prepared to lock down and weather this crisis with all necessary supplies at home with your family. Now is the time to make sure you have defensive weaponry at the ready beyond your handgun . While I think an October 7th-style assault on neighborhoods is unlikely in the United States due to the population being heavily armed in all but the bluest urban locations, be ready still . Having a fighting rifle with spare magazines, ready for home and neighborhood defense, is a sound decision. Have a get-home plan
. This event will likely kick off at the most inconvenient time (imagine that) while people are at work, traveling for work, or away from home . It is possible that such a mass-scale attack will shut down infrastructure, including the roads, transit, and communications. Be sure that you have the needed gear to get home, possibly on foot, from wherever you are . Your vehicle should be stocked with essential supplies, and if you commute on public transit, keep a get-home bag with you. Have a plan with your neighbors and community . The only support you will likely have in the midst of such an onslaught is those around you, as law enforcement will be tied up and scrambling for days . If you are fortunate enough to have capable people nearby, have a plan to join forces to protect your neighborhood and ride out this threat. Depending on the government for rescue is a fools errand . Look at the results of Hurricane Katrina or other similar emergencies; how efficient was the government even in the face of a hurricane? Imagine the fallout of a multi-city attack like this. You will be on your own, so network with your immediate community . The government has failed to prepare for this looming threat, and we will be on our own at the individual and community level .
