📅
✍️By ZRIntel Editorial Team📍United StatesDuring the 40th annual Gun Rights Policy Conference (GRPC), the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) presented several prestigious awards, honoring those who have gone above and beyond in advocating for our Second Amendment rights over the past year.
Alan M. Gottlieb, SAF founder and Executive Vice President, expressed, “We were honored to present awards to those in the Second Amendment space who are deserving of such a distinction. This year’s recipients are the people who are on the front lines fighting for our civil liberties and who unapologetically support SAF’s work – whether in the courtroom, the lecture hall or in the media. It was a privilege to share the stage with these award winners and to publicly recognize their achievements over the past year.”
Among the recognized were individuals and organizations whose work stands out in various categories:
Golden Bowtie Award: Presented to people and/or organizations who have made significant contributions of time, talent, and treasure to SAF and its mission.
Recipient: Chris Cox, a notable gun rights advocate and legislative strategist.
Defender of Liberty: Awarded for significant contributions to defending the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.
Recipients include:
Bill of Rights: Recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the preservation of civil liberties.
Recipient: Andrew Bailey, Former Missouri Attorney General, currently serving as Co-Deputy Director at the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Adam Kraut, the Executive Director of SAF, remarked, “As in years past, the 2025 award winners are the scholars, advocates, and media members who have excelled in promoting and educating the public about our constitutional right to keep and bear arms. It was an honor to publicly recognize those who are staunch advocates of our Second Amendment rights during this year’s GRPC.”
These awards not only celebrate individual and organizational contributions but also reflect a broader commitment to upholding the rights enshrined in our Constitution. The emphasis on advocacy among various facets of society—from legal to technological—highlights an adaptive response to ongoing challenges against Second Amendment rights. As debates surrounding gun ownership and civil liberties heat up, recognition of such advocates fosters inspiration and engagement among current proponents and newcomers alike.
For anyone committed to the preservation of the Second Amendment, these acknowledgments serve as both a call to action and a reminder of the continuous efforts necessary to defend our shared rights. For more information, visit SAF.org.
