Savage Arms Revamps Iconic 110 Line with AccuFit V2 'Quick Set' Technology
America's Oldest Continuous Bolt-Action Gets Tool-Less On-the-Fly Adjustability
📅
✍️By ZRIntel Editorial Team📍Westfield, MassachusettsSavage Arms has unveiled a comprehensive overhaul of its legendary Model 110 bolt-action series for 2026. While the action remains the same robust design that has served hunters for decades, the stock has been completely re-engineered. The new AccuFit V2 System features a 'Quick Set Dial' (QSD) located behind the pistol grip, allowing hunters to adjust both the length of pull and comb height in seconds without the need for tools or individual spacers.
This update addresses a long-standing complaint among hunters who share rifles with family members or change their clothing layers throughout a season. A simple rotation of the QSD raises the comb up to 0.8 inches, ensuring a perfect cheek weld regardless of optic height, while depressing the dial allows for length-of-pull adjustments in 1/8-inch increments. Additionally, the entire 110 line has moved to a more modern vertical grip angle, improving ergonomics for prone and bench shooting.
Beyond the stock, Savage has introduced 'vertical cut' machining to the receiver to ensure a smoother bolt throw and upgraded the extractor to complement the 110’s dual-ejector system. The 2026 lineup includes over a dozen models, ranging from the lightweight 'Backcountry' to the 'Magnum' series, all featuring a second-generation AccuTrigger with an improved safety blade. This revamp ensures that one of America’s most affordable and accurate hunting rifles remains competitive in an increasingly tech-heavy market.
Savage is the king of the 'working man's rifle' for a reason. They don't overcomplicate things; they just make them more functional. The tool-less adjustment is a game-changer for parents teaching kids to hunt—you can fit the rifle to a teenager in the morning and back to an adult in the afternoon with two clicks. It’s practical innovation that keeps a classic relevant.
