Springfield Armory has released new threaded barrel variants of its 1911 Operator AOS (All Optics System) series. Chambered in .45 ACP and built on forged frames, the updated Operator models include a 5.5 threaded barrel, suppressor-height sights, and a slide cut compatible with multiple optic footprints via interchangeable plates. Designed for shooters who want the tradition of a 1911 with the adaptability of modern combat pistols, the Operator AOS balances weight, recoil control, and customization.
