IVANHOE, Calif. Authorities have identified 42-year-old Anthony Muro as the suspect killed during a shootout with Tulare County Sheriff's deputies. The confrontation occurred when deputies attempted to arrest Muro in connection with an attempted murder investigation. According to the Tulare County Sheriff's Office, Muro opened fire on deputies during the arrest attempt, prompting them to return fire. Muro was struck and later died at the scene. No deputies were injured in the incident. The shooting is currently under investigation by the Tulare County District Attorneys Office and the Sheriffs Office. Authorities noted that Muro had a criminal history, including prior firearm-related offenses.
