✍️By ZRIntel Editorial Team📍Chengdu, ChinaAt the Chengdu 2025 World Games, Italys Matteo Borsani and Germanys Elisa Tartler emerged as the top seeds in the mens and womens recurve field events following a dramatic change in the course layout. Originally, five targets were set deeper in the wooded areas of Qinglong Lake Park. However, the discovery of venomous snakes prompted officials to relocate those targets to the main lake area for safety reasons. Competitors shot an unmarked round in the morning followed by a marked round in the afternoon under hot and humid conditions, where hydration and cooling towels were as essential as shooting skill. Tartler, a bronze medalist at the Birmingham 2022 World Games, secured first place in the womens field with a score of 705, narrowly edging Denisa Barankova of Slovakia. Defending champion Chiara Rebagliati of Italy placed third. Borsani overcame a technical sight issue in the morning to dominate the afternoon round, drawing on his prior competitive experience in Chengdu, where he had won a team bronze at the Chengdu 2021 Summer World University Games.
