Authorities in Columbia, South Carolina, arrested a 15-year-old male student at Ridge View High School on August 6, 2025, after he was found in possession of a loaded handgun. The Richland County Sheriff's Department stated that the school resource officer acted on a tip and found the weapon in the student's backpack.
