Police in Wilson County, Tennessee, report that a homeowner armed with an AR-15 rifle stopped two masked intruders who attempted to break into his rural residence early on August 8, 2025. Authorities say the suspects kicked in the back door just before 3 a.m., prompting the homeowner to retrieve his rifle and fire multiple warning shots before engaging one of the suspects, who was armed with a handgun.
