In Harris County, Texas, a homeowner held an armed intruder at gunpoint until deputies arrived early Wednesday morning. According to the Harris County Sheriffs Office, the homeowner was awakened around 12:45 a.m. by noises coming from the back of the house. Upon investigation, he found a man inside his kitchen holding a crowbar. The homeowner retrieved his pistol, ordered the intruder to drop the crowbar, and kept him on the floor until law enforcement arrived minutes later. Deputies say the suspect appeared intoxicated and may have been attempting to steal electronics. The suspect is facing charges of burglary of a habitation and possession of burglary tools. No injuries were reported, and officials commended the homeowner for keeping the situation under control without resorting to gunfire.
