Major restructuring move to separate sporting products and outdoor brands

✍️By ZRIntel Editorial Team📍Anoka, MNANOKA, Minn. Vista Outdoor Inc., the parent company of dozens of leading outdoor and shooting sports brands, has announced shareholder approval for the spin-off of its outdoor products segment into a separate publicly traded company named Revelyst. The restructuring aims to allow both Revelyst and Vistas remaining sporting products business to focus on their respective markets and growth strategies. Vista Outdoor will retain its ammunition and related shooting sports assets, including Federal, CCI, Speer, and Remington ammunition brands. Revelyst will inherit the companys portfolio of outdoor lifestyle and gear brands, such as CamelBak, Bell, Giro, and Bushnell. CEO Gary McArthur stated that the separation will create two independent leaders better equipped to allocate resources, innovate, and respond to consumer demands. The move comes amid shifting market dynamics in the outdoor industry, with firearms and ammunition sales normalizing after pandemic-era spikes, while outdoor recreation gear sees renewed growth. The spin-off is expected to be completed in Q4 2025, pending regulatory approvals. Analysts say the deal may unlock shareholder value by allowing each entity to pursue tailored business strategies without cross-sector constraints.
