spent 18 years as a full-time police officer in Illinois, followed by another 12 years as a part-time officer, a status that in Illinois requires the same training and standards as a full-time officer. He also owned a small gun store for approximately ten years, working with his son, who handled its day-to-day operation. He relocated to Union, Missouri roughly a year and a half ago, where he now runs Behind the Badge Personal Defense.
