Donovan Brooks

is a co-founder and lead instructor at Dojo Armed Defense in Upstate South Carolina. A civilian firearms instructor, competitive shooter, and professional educator with more than 18 years of teaching and coaching experience across academic and athletic disciplines, he has worked with over 2,000 students in classroom and range settings combined. Brooks holds a USPSA A Class classification in Limited Optics and competes regularly in USPSA, two-gun, and other performance-based shooting events. His broader preparedness background includes certification as a Search and Rescue Technician (SAR Tech III), NAPWDA K9 SAR Handler, and Wilderness First Responder. He is an NRA Certified Basic Pistol Instructor, NRA Range Safety Officer, and South Carolina Concealed Weapons Permit Instructor.
